June 14, 2019 - Test/Fun Flight with Joe M. |
||||||
Joe M. is a pilot who keeps his Cessna 150 at the Skypark. He is also an FAA certified mechanic who works for an airline. He did a 500 hour inspection on my single Slick magneto in the late afternoon of a beautiful Friday afternoon. It was a little windy but not enough to keep us from going flying after the magneto work was done.

By the time we went flying, at 6PM, the wind had died down and it was absolutely perfect flying weather. You could see Sugar Loaf mountain by Frederick from overhead the Skypark. That's about 45 nautical miles! Visibility that good is very rare on the East Coast.
Here we are on the deck at Frederick just about to have delicious crab cakes in the onfield restaurant.

Joe asked me to do a roll so he could get a picture while inverted. Here it is. Not bad! We had a great flight. The air was calm and the visibility was phenominal. One of those magical flights. |
